Posting these old photo’s on the blog has taken a lot of people down memory lane. Most people in Cockfield will recognise these ‘Fab Five’ girls!
They are of course; Wendy Wilkinson, Carol Dent, Diane Dowson, Barbara Close and Pauline Burton.
If memory serves me right it was taken in 1995/6 and shows the five friends on a birthday bash. I think it was either Barbi’s or Diane’s and they all went to the Millennium night club at Tall Trees. I suspect these days a quick trip to Darlington or a night in the Bottom House would do them, but I’ll leave it at that for fear of a black eye!!
Talking of the Bottom House, they now have a page on Face Book. Amongst other things, it gives information as to who the singer is on a Saturday night and information on the ’open mike’ nights. Just search ’Queens Head’ Cockfield.
