Andrew Pattison is currently putting a quoits team together to play for the Middle House in the 2011 Zetland Quoits League.
Apart from last year - pub closing etc - the Middle House has played in the Zetland League for fourteen years. In recent years, interest has dropped away but with the help of a few new recruits, this popular village pursuit could be saved in Cockfield.
NO experience is necessary as there is enough former players to help any new starters.
There’s a meeting in the Middle House on Monday 17th Jan at 8.00pm. If you can’t attend and you would still like to register an interest, just pop in and see Andrew and he’ll give you the details.
The League starts at the end of April and runs until the end of August. Matches are played on a Monday evening and usually start at 7.30pm.
Having a pint whilst playing isn’t compulsory but comes highly recommended!
