A POWER cut this evening has forced a town hall to shut early and a supermarket to close.
Electricity went off in the DL1 area of Darlington, resulting in Darlington Town Hall shutting at 4.45pm and Sainsbury's, in Victoria Road, also closing.
It was reported that power is expected to be restored at about 5.10pm.
The town hall is expected to reopen as normal at 9am tomorrow.
