THE emergency services are at the scene of a collision in County Durham.
Two cars are thought to be involved in the accident, which occurred on the A689 at the junction of Hillside Road, in Coundon, just after 5pm today.
The fire service are at the scene helping two female adults who were reported to be trapped.
The A689 is closed in both ways between Leasingthorne and Bishop Auckland.
Traffic is being diverted through Coundon.
