A MAN was cut free from a car and taken to hospital tonight after a two-car crash in Darlington.
A red Renault Laguna and a black Vauxhall Corsa collided at the junction of Corporation Road with Bartlett Street and Easson Road, at 9.45pm.
The occupants of the Corsa, a man and a woman, were treated at the scene by paramedics, and a man had to be cut free from the Renault by fire fighters, who removed the roof to free him.
He was taken to Darlington Memorial Hospital by ambulance. The extent of his injuries is not yet clear.
One man, who lives nearby, said: "I heard a huge crash, then a woman screaming. It sounded pretty nasty."
