A woman accused of murdering her partner has been granted bail by a crown court judge.
Terri Milburn, 32, is accused of killing Philip Hewitt, 32, whose body was found lying at the bottom of the stairs of their home in Bede Avenue, Sherburn Road Estate, County Durham.
A post-mortem examination revealed the father-of-three died from severe blood loss from a head wound, thought to be caused by a blunt instrument.
Milburn, who had been remanded in custody, appeared at Newcastle Crown Court yesterday before Judge David Hodson.
No plea was taken during the short hearing.
Melinda Blackburn for the prosecution said there was no objection to bail.
Judge Hodson granted Milburn bail with conditions she stays in a hostel, does not attempt to contact prosecution witnesses and stays away from the Sherburn Road Estate.
