PEOPLE can find out more about searching for jobs on the Internet and gaining new skills and qualifications at an open day.
First Steps and Skills4Life Online are holding the open day at Annfield Plain Library, near Stanley, from 10am to 4pm next Tuesday.
Visitors can drop in for a chat about free courses to help them with writing letters, searching for jobs, compiling a CV and gaining qualifications in literacy and numeracy.
The aim is to help people gain skills or qualifications for employment and to help them back on to the employment ladder.
First Steps and Skills4Life Online are funded by the European Social Fund and managed by Durham County Council.
To find out more, contact Julie West at the county council on 0191-383 4943.
