TRAINS between Darlington and Bishop Auckland were stopped this afternoon after a car lost control and ended up hanging from a railway bridge.
The driver, a man, was treated at the scene by ambulance crews.
The accident happened half a mile from the Burtree Inn, near West Auckland Road, on the outskirts of Darlington, shortly after 1.20pm.
Police and ambulance crews attended together with fire crews from Darlington, Bishop Auckland and Newton Aycliffe.
