MAN ATTACKED: UP to four people took part in an unprovoked attack inside a pizza shop over the weekend.

Two local men, aged 36 and 17, suffered injuries including cuts, black eyes and bruising to the head and body during the assault in Cleopatra's Pizza Shop, in Westgate, Guisborough.

The incident took place at 1.45am on Saturday. Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to ring PC Graham Fletcher at Redcar Police Station on (01642) 302614.

ROAD SAFETY: Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council's road safety team will bring its mascot, Spike, to Grangetown library on Thursday, June 1, from 2pm to 3pm, for an activity session, including story-telling, dressing up activities and a road safety quiz.
