A WOMAN who helped steal two throws from a Darlington shop has escaped a jail term.
Darlington Magistrates' Court heard how Rebecca Jayne Raper, with two associates, stole two throw-over rugs worth £45 from Matalan, in Neasham Road, Darlington, on August 19 last year.
Raper, 24, of Brighton Road, Darlington, was given a three-month suspended sentence, and a 12-month supervision order with 60 hours' community service.
She was also ordered to pay £30 compensation to Matalan.
