THE work of artistic youngsters from a Durham school has been included in the 20th anniversary calendar of Childline.
The charity, which helps youngsters with problems, particularly bullying, attracted thousands of entries for its drawing competition for the calendar.
Three drawings from Belmont CE Junior School were chosen. In addition, another was picked for the cover of notelets the charity produced and another for a T-shirt it issued.
School headteacher Alison Keddie said: "We are delighted, particularly as we do a lot of work on bullying.
"We have buddies in school, and we work very closely with the education authority, and we recently received anti-bullying accreditation from the authority.
"The pictures depict what to do if you are bullied and they appeal to other children. We were rather surprised by the number of pictures chosen."
