A VETERINARY surgery is holding an open day on Saturday, so pet owners can see what services are on offer.
Abbey Veterinary centre, in Pelton Fell Road, Pelton Fell, Chester-le-Street is inviting the public to pay a visit between 2pm and 4pm.
They will be able to see rabbits, a dog, a gecko, a salamander and maybe a tortoise.
There will also be a number of stalls to provide information about how people can support animal charities.
Surgery receptionist Charlotte Luke said: "We are the only pets hospital in the area, and it is a massive building, so we want to show people our facilities.
"We will take people around and show them the various procedures we can undertake."
Tea, coffee, juice and biscuits will be available.
