THE new Archbishop of York will preside over his first consecration of a bishop.
The Most Reverend Dr John Sentamu will install the new Bishop of Sherwood at a service in York Minster at 11am on Tuesday.
The bishop-to-be, Canon Anthony Porter, was formerly a rector in Manchester.
Canon Porter and Dr Sentamu trained for ordination together in Cambridge.
The minster will be closed to visitors all morning and will reopen at about 3pm.
