TEENAGER Anna Burnley has had a busy few weeks in the swimming pool and her efforts have raised £390 for charity.
The 16-year-old Thirsk White Horse Swim Team member eventually covered a total of 1,408 lengths - the equivalent of 22 miles - in her marathon efforts.
The money will go to the charity Aspire, which cares for people with spinal injuries, providing help and support for casualties and their families.
Support for her swim came from family, friends and anyone Anna approached - including her friends at Thirsk School who emptied their pockets of loose change for her fundraising.
"I'm really grateful for the support that everyone has given me," said Anna, who lives in Sowerby.
"I hope that the money we have raised can help make a real difference to people who need it."
