PEOPLE will be able to help protect wildlife this week by making bat and bird boxes on Teesside.
Craft sessions for all the family are taking place at Preston Hall Museum, in Eaglescliffe, on Sunday, from 10am to noon, giving park visitors the opportunity to create nesting boxes for bats, as well as common garden birds.
The event has been organised by Stockton Borough Council's parks and countryside team, as part of National Nest Box Week.
Councillor Jean O'Donnell, Stockton council's cabinet member for arts, leisure and culture, said: "This craft session will give people the opportunity to help local wildlife within their own areas and learn about the many different species that can be found within the borough."
The event is open to everyone. To take part, meet at the museum entrance at Preston Park, in Yarm Road.
There will be a charge of £2 to cover materials. For more information, call the parks and countryside team on (01642) 526871.
