A DRUG-SMUGGLING male lap dancer called the Penetrator has been jailed after he was caught out in an airport strip search.

Colin Reah's raunchy routine made him one of Britain's leading exotic dancers.

Reah, 41, earned a living lap-dancing for women at Newcastle's For Your Eyes Only nightclub.

But today he is behind bars after he was jailed for two-and-a-half years for trying to smuggle four types of drugs out of the UK. Reah, of Cumberland Place, South Shields, South Tyneside, was stopped by customs officers on August 18, 2004, at Leeds Bradford Airport on his way to Ibiza. They found 442 ecstasy tablets, a quantity of cocaine, 20g of amphetamines and 8.7g of cannabis resin in his baggage.

Reah, known as the Penetrator, became a lap-dancer in January 2002. He would wear fantasy outfits, including sailors' costumes and police and firefighter uniforms.

He appeared in Leeds Crown Court on Monday, where he pleaded guilty to four charges relating to the drugs.

He was sentenced to 30 months in prison by Judge Alistair McCallum, who said: "A strong message has to be sent out that drugs will not be tolerated."
