NURSERY business Great Expectations has announced plans to open on Saturdays.
The nursery, which is Middlesbrough's first in the town centre, provides full-day care for children between six weeks and five years. Following the success of weekdays, Great Expectations is opening from 7.30am until 6pm every Saturday, with plans to extend the times.
William Guthrie, managing director, said: "Having realised a great need for a town centre nursery we also identified a gap in the market for the provision of childcare on a Saturday for both shoppers and workers.
"We appreciate that many families' working lives are no longer on a Monday-to-Friday, nine-to-five basis, and we are now catering for that need."
