A CHESTER-le-Street nightspot is expecting revellers to continue their New Year celebrations at its annual charity fund-raiser on Sunday.
Gravity, formerly Crocs, in Front Street, is holding its annual New Year's Day "panto'' in which a group of friends dress up in outrageous costumes mime to records old and new.
The club, which has undergone a major refurbishment and changed its name, is hoping the event, a popular draw for 25 years, will raise thousands of pounds
for North-East Children's Cancer Research.
Owner Billy Walton says a rodeo machine installed during the re-fit has proved immensely popular with locals and that donations from riders have also boosted funds for the charity.
"We are hoping that it will be the biggest day yet, everybody has been talking about it. We are hoping to really do well.''
The event starts at noon and is expected to continue until about 9pm. Admission is free but revellers can make a donation to the charity.
