HIT band The Levellers are the latest act lined up to play a North-East venue.
The band, who have had 14 top 40 hits, including Beautiful Day, will be at the Manor Quay, in Sunderland, on Saturday, April 1.
The gig is the latest organised at the venue by promoter Jon Connor, who has previously organised a show by The Stranglers and a punk festival featuring The Damned.
He has also brought Durham Student Union's building back into use as a venue for live music.
He said: "It is still The Levellers' original line-up and we are expecting a big turn-out on the night.
"It is seven years since they played on Wearside - at The Empire Theatre in Sunderland - and they are more than happy to be coming back. We are hoping to bring more shows to the region."
The gig starts at 7.30pm and tickets cost £16, available by calling 0191-383 0745 or by visiting the website www.gigbox.co.uk, which also has details of a bus running from Teesside and Darlington.
