VITAL railway bridge work will result in the closure of a Middlesbrough road over the Christmas break.
Network Rail is replacing the bridge over Ladgate Lane at Marton Rail Station, which means that the road will be closed between the Ladgate Lane/Marton Avenue junction and the Ladgate Lane/Overdale Road junction.
The closure will run from 6pm today until 7am on Tuesday.
Diversions will be signposted along Ormesby Bank, Nunthorpe by-pass, Dixons Bank and Stokesley Road.
There will also be a number of abnormal loads carrying sections for the new bridge moving early on Christmas Day morning.
They will travel along Dockside Road, from near the football ground, then via Cargo Fleet Lane and Ladgate Lane, to the bridge site.
