A MAN was charged after an incident at the weekend.
Michael John Russett, 32, of Thorngate Wynd, Barnard Castle, was charged yesterday with failing to stop for a police officer, resisting arrest and driving with excess alcohol on the A688 road at Stainton Grove near Barnard Castle on Sunday night.
Police said he had been released on bail and would probably appear before magistrates next Thursday.
