A GARDEN has been created by students taking part in a community project.
It was unveiled on Friday at The Vane Tempest hall in Gilesgate, Durham, by members of the Prince's Trust team.
Eleven young people, aged between 16 and 30, took part in the project, as part of the 12-week personal development course, in conjunction with Stockton Riverside College.
They raised £250 by bag-packing at Morrison's in Sunderland to provide the plants and a patio area, and cleared an area of scrub land to make it more aesthetically pleasing.
Team leader Matthew Wigmore said: "It looks really great now. It is quite impressive.
"Their confidence and tolerance has developed over the time they have worked together.
"Some have never worked with other people before but this has helped them work together to achieve certain goals."
