A PRIMARY school netball team is celebrating after winning an inter-schools title.
St Joseph's RC Primary School, in Coundon, beat teams from other primary schools in the area to be named Bishop Auckland Schools Netball Champions.
Headteacher Stefa McManners said she was proud of the mixed team of girls and boys, aged between nine and ten, not only for winning, but because of the way they conducted themselves throughout the competition.
She said: "They were good ambassadors for the school. They have a good attitude and they obviously had a great deal of fun taking part."
