ADMINISTRATORS of troubled car parts manufacturer Vickers Pressings Tolwood Automotive yesterday said they were hopeful of a sale.
Since VPTA was advertised in the Financial Times on Friday, more than 20 different parties have expressed an interest in taking it over.
A spokeswoman for administrator KPMG said: "I can confirm that there has been a lot of interest."
The company was put into administration two weeks ago and last Tuesday it was announced that 14 redundancies had been made.
Twelve of the cuts were at the firm's head office, in Newton Aycliffe, while the other two were at its Newcastle office.
The company was created earlier this year following a merger of Tolwood Limited, in Newton Aycliffe, and Vickers Pressings, of Newcastle.
It employs about 190 people in Newcastle, another 111 in Newton Aycliffe and about 60 in Wolverhampton and Walsall.
