A SERIES of educational workshops are being held as part of a £10m Second World War exhibition.
York Archaeological Trust is hosting the events, which will teach schoolchildren about rationing, field kitchens and 1940s hair and beauty.
Vehicles from the time will be on show and members of Bradford Bulls rugby club will give a talk on rugby in the 1940s.
The workshops are part of the Imperial War Museum's Their Past Your Future exhibition currently at the McArthur Glen outlet in York.
Children will also be able to talk with local veterans, and listen to recordings of people who lived through the time.
The workshops are taking place throughout this month.
