A QUANTITY surveyor in Newcastle has been appointed to work on two housing developments in the North-East worth more than £3m.

RNJ Partnerships has signed contracts with property developer Prestigious Living North-East Ltd for the schemes in Middlesbrough and Gateshead.

The deal comes after the two firms worked together last year on apartments in Stokesley, North Yorkshire.

The first project, worth £2.1m, will see the development of 16 apartments and six townhouses on the site of the former clubhouse at Ravensworth Golf Club, in Wrekenton, near Gateshead.

The project team includes contractor Howard Russell Construction Limited, TTH Architects and structural engineer Clancy Consulting.

The firm, which has offices in Kenton, Newcastle, is also involved in a £1.1m project to build 15 apartments in Nunthorpe, near Middlesbrough.
