TALENTED young British pianist Ashley Wass will launch Hartlepool Music Society's 21st season of concerts at Hartlepool Town Hall Theatre on Wednesday.
Mr Wass, only the second British pianist in 20 years to reach the finals of the Leeds Piano Competition, in 2000, is recognised as one of the rising stars of his generation.
He was the first British pianist to win the top prize at the World Piano Competition, in 1997.
The concert starts at 7.30pm and admission at the door is £10, with concessions and those on income support being £4. Children up to 14 years get in free. For further information, call Brian Moore on (01429) 837034.
