SIX jobs have been created by the opening of a builders' merchant in Ripon.
Travis Perkins, which has 950 UK branches, has moved into 12,000sq ft premises at Ripon Business Park.
The jobs include sales and administration, drivers and goods yard staff. The firm supplies more than 100,000 products and was last year voted National Builders Merchant of the Year.
Yorkshire director Andrew Popple said: "The new branch in Ripon represents a significant investment for us.
"Travis Perkins has gone to the stock market many times saying we wish to increase our market share through opening more branches and this is one such opportunity."
