A NIGHTCLUB was yesterday granted permission to serve alcohol for longer.
The Lounge, in Commercial Street, Darlington, was granted a licence to sell alcohol from 11am to 3am, Mondays to Sundays. The venue previously had a licence for 11am to 2am, from Mondays to Saturdays, and noon to 12.30am on Sundays.
Darlington Borough Council's licensing sub-committee members approved the application after hearing that the authority's environmental health officers no longer had any objections.
They were previously concerned about controls relating to adult entertainment at the club.
