A WINDOW manufacturer is weeks away from securing two lucrative council contracts and plans to increase its workforce five-fold.
Contract Building Solutions (CBS), of Eaglescliffe, Teesside, is expecting to agree six figure deals with Newcastle City Council and Stockton Borough Council to supply timber-framed windows.
General manager Charlie Henderson said the company was planning to recruit about 40 people to add to its workforce of ten in its window manufacturing operation.
"We are very confident that we will get these two contracts and we are in constant talks with the local authorities," he said.
"We need to increase the workforce almost immediately to ensure we can meet the orders, which are likely to stretch over six years."
