ATHLETIC champions of the future will pitch their skills against each other at a free event on Saturday.
The UK Challenge will see Britain's top club athletes and aspiring internationals take to the track and compete in sprints, hurdles and throws.
The event, at Gateshead International Stadium, is one of a series of ten challenges around the country this summer, with winning athletes going forward to the UK Challenge Final in Manchester next month.
The challenge is from noon until 7pm on Saturday. Entry is free and programmes are available for £2.
