MEMBERS of Harrogate's Sea Cadets will be raising money for charity by taking part in a "lock in" at Ripon Museum's Liberty Jail.
After a night in the cells, and a breakfast of bread and water, they will be marched in chains through the streets and tried in the dock at the old courthouse, in Minster Road.
Later, they will be given back-breaking tasks at the workhouse in Allhallowgate.
The event takes place on Saturday, August 20, from 11am to 4pm, concluding in the Market Place where the stocks will be put to good use.
As part of the charity effort on the day, all three museums in Ripon can be visited for £5, with children admitted free.
