Ritchie Humphreys is expecting the real Hartlepool to stand up at Bournemouth tomorrow night, writes Nick Loughlin.
After Saturday's home defeat to Bradford, Pool today make their longest trek of the season.
And Humphreys, who played an unfamiliar left-back role at the weekend, can't wait for the chance to put things right.
He said: "That result was the last thing we wanted but we will take the positives out of it and there was some very good passing and possession.
"Yes, the final ball didn't set us up - we had a lot of crosses and a lot of corners and nothing came from them - which was a disappointment.
"Shots on goal and clear chances created didn't add up to many, which is not like us at home. It's credit to Bradford - they came with a game plan to sit behind the ball and let us have it.
"They have experience at the back with the two big central defenders and, when the long ball is your only out ball, it played into them."
