PUPILS who haven't missed a day of school in the past year were rewarded with a picnic.
Eleven youngsters from Skerne Park Primary School, in Ribble Drive, Darlington, have achieved 100 per cent attendance since last September, and were taken to Skerne Park yesterday for a celebratory picnic.
School secretary Mandy Denton said: "We decided to introduce rewards for the pupils for their attendance. For a full week, they receive a certificate, for a month they will be given a treat, for a term they receive a book token and we thought taking them out for a picnic was a good idea if they achieved full attendance for the whole year."
