SOLDIERS showed their caring side when they raised money for a special care baby unit.
The soldiers from the 1st Battalion The Kings Regiment at Catterick Garrison raised £1,000 for the unit at Northallerton's Friarage Hospital.
They took part in an It's a Knockout competition, followed by an evening barbecue.
Sister Anne Wall said: "We would like to say a bit thank-you to everyone who helped to raise this fantastic amount of money, which we will use to help premature babies and their families.
"It was a very enjoyable event and I was delighted to go along to the barbecue, with other staff from the unit, to thank everyone for their efforts and for supporting us."
