AN open day is being held today to seek people's views about a new community resource centre in Pelton Fell, Chester-le-Street.
It forms part of the larger regeneration project that involves building 250 houses in the area.
The idea of the consultation is to engage residents to decide where it should be and what services and activities it should offer.
Part of the plans include attaching a sports facility to the new building.
Meetings will be held at the village hall from 3pm to 4pm and 6.30pm to7.30pm.
Those who cannot attend can call Graham Woodford, of Banks of the Wear, on 0191-567 9856.
