A COMPANY which has an innovative way of delivering internal council mail is looking to expand its work in Darlington.
Earlier this year, the town became one of only four in the country to sign up to the Green-Link service, run by York-based Company of Cyclists.
The scheme has seen a specially-made trike - which can carry up to 200 kilos of post - used to collect, sort and deliver internal mail for three Darlington Borough Council departments.
It has proved so successful that Green-Link is to carry on its work and expand in the town.
Chris Hamm, Company of Cyclists' head of development, said: "We hope more businesses, especially independent traders, will see the benefit of using us and come on board."
Green-Link is also holding an information session for anyone interested in its work on Monday, between 12.15pm and 1pm, in the Dolphin Centre restaurant meeting room.
