A CHILDREN'S charity was the winner when celebrities joined businessmen for a golf day.
Up to £9,000 was raised for the TFM Make a Child Smile appeal at the event at Wynyard Golf Club.
A team from Stockton double-glazing firm Almark Ltd, whose celebrity player was former Newcastle United and Spurs defender Kevin Scott, won the tournament.
About 60 people, including World Cup winner Jack Charlton, former Middlesbrough players John Hendrie and Criag Hignett, champion boxer Billy Hardy and Boro star Franck Queudrue took part.
Organiser Heather Bundzenieks said: "It was a fabulous day and everyone was happy to give up their time to support the charity.
"The money will go to help severely underprivileged children in this area live better lives.
"It's going to be an annual event now because it was so successful."
