A man who beat his neighbour with a stick during a row over loud music was given a 12-month jail sentence, suspended for two years.
Gary Archer was left with cuts to his head, a broken finger and a black eye after Dennis Stokoe dragged him from his home in Fawn Road, Sunderland, on February 10, Newcastle Court was told. Stokoe, who admitted unlawful wounding, was also ordered to pay £750 compensation.
