A FIRM of furniture makers flooded out in last month's torrential rains has been forced to borrow back work for a display at the Great Yorkshire Show.
Machines and furniture at Wren Cabinet Makers, in Thirlby, were damaged in the flash floods that hit North Yorkshire last month.
Several items of furniture damaged were due to be displayed at the country show, in Harrogate, next week.
The firm's Jackie Cree said: "We are trying to make stuff, but the machines need checking and insurance sorting out. It's the only show we do and where we mainly advertise.
"Customers are letting us use items so we can still have a stall at the show.
"We are really pleased that people have rallied round."
The firm is owned by Bob Hunter, Mrs Cree's father.
