RESIDENTS are being recruited to make a clean sweep of their neighbourhood.
Northumbria in Bloom judges are visiting Nunthorpe on Tuesday, and community leaders want them to see the area at its best.
A last-minute litter pick takes place today.
Middlesbrough councillor Brenda Thompson, who is organising the event, said: "We are hoping for a good turnout so that we really impress the judges next week."
Middlesbrough Council is providing equipment for the litter pick, from 9.30am to 11.30am, starting at Nunthorpe railway station car park.
Residents will also get tips on how to get the best out of their floral displays and hanging baskets, and caring for hedges.
