Durham Senior League: Having moved into top spot, Hetton Lyons will be looking to take maximum points from their game at Felling this afternoon and let those behind them worry about catching up.

They face a side who have won just once and the Lyons will attempt to produce a similar display to that on the opening day against their opponents.

Felling skipper Graham Wright smacked an unbeaten 136 on that occasion, but his side ended with just 197. Sean Birbeck and Marc Hopkinson combined to make light work of the challenge.

Wright has 606 runs to his credit and his early wicket would be a bonus. With Birbeck averaging an impressive 87 his quick removal is a must to give Felling a chance.

The leaders have captain Steve Errington available as well as promising young pace bowler Gary Adey. Graham Hoban and Lee Cowan are absent.

Felling expect to include Chris Pleasants. The pace bowler has played just twice to date. In mid-June he picked up five for 37 at Durham, but was sidelined again until last week.

Whitburn will hope Felling can cause a shock in taking advantage of some indifferent Boldon form.

The usually reliable Boldon batting has faltered of late. They have Byron Longstaff back today and Oliver Douthwaite is promoted in place of Alan and Chris Lamb.

Whitburn will need to be wary of Orlanzo Jackson, the league's leading wicket taker. Paul Cook and Michael Smith are set to return.

Burnmoor entertain a South Shields team strengthened by the inclusion of frontline batsmen - Mike Fishwick and Paul Muchall.

Muchall, who was with the Durham Academy, is recovering from a back injury that prevents him bowling. However, his batting is not affected.

Burnmoor hope to field the same side involved in the draw with Whitburn last week.

Eppleton are in the upper reaches but are not winning enough matches and travel to South Hetton today.

Ashok Patel is in fine form and his 136 not out last week makes him joint highest individual scorer this season. South Hetton have David Wilkinson returning.

Durham City, entrenched at the bottom, travel to Marsden. Paul Price misses this one for City, who need maximum points to keep in touch with the teams above them.

Marsden disappointed last week after being unable to see off the late Seaham batsmen.

All rounder Philip Bell is out and so too is Dave Stewart. Rob Lawrence and Mark Scott return.

Seaham Harbour keep Ryan James in the side after he helped the side to draw last week. Steve Sennett is missing, but Matthew Young returns at Horden.

Paul Franks and Adam Dixon return.
