NORTH tourist attractions are to feature in a BBC television series.
Presenter John Craven and his crew spent four hours filming at the World of James Herriot visitor centre, in Thirsk, North Yorkshire, last weekend.
The footage will be used in the second series of Castles in the Country, to be aired in the autumn.
The series is based at Castle Howard, near York, and will examine life in the castle and the goings-on at nearby tourist attractions.
At the Thirsk attraction, Mr Craven met vet and author Jim Wight, son of Alf Wight, who created the James Herriot character.
Mr Wight talked about his father and guided the crew around the centre.
Castles in the Country will also feature the Mouseman of Kilburn, Sutton Hall, at Sutton-on-the-Forest, and Thorpe Perrow Arboretum, near Bedale.
