A RADIO fan will get a front row seat when her east Cleveland home is turned into a broadcast studio this weekend.

Dee Brown, who is a volunteer with the Saltburn Animal Rescue Association, invited BBC Radio Cleveland to come to her house to raise awareness of the charity's work.

Presenter Stewart McFarlane will be broadcasting his Saturday show from Dee's house tomorrow between 9am and noon.

Dee will use the broadcast to appeal for more fundraisers to join the appeal to build an animal shelter in Saltburn.

Until the £500,000 shelter is built, the rescue association will continue to rely on people like Dee to look after animals in need of a home.

Radio Cleveland asked listeners to nominate a front room to become a temporary radio station and Dee was the first person to volunteer to house the team for a day.

Anyone else who would like to invite Mr McFarlane's show to their home should apply by writing to BBC Radio Cleveland, PO Box 95 FM, Broadcasting House, Newport Road, Middlesbrough TS1 5DG.
