Mackinlay Park secured their place in the final of the Eileen Hodgson Bowl with a 3-0 semi-final victory against Huntsman in midweek.

Veteran Vic Spinks opened the scoring with a disputed goal when Huntsman claimed handball, but the result never looked in doubt after Chris Rehanan netted twice.

Mackinlay Park will now face Belmangate in the final.

Belmangate crushed hosts Great Ayton 5-1 in the league after going ahead through Les Sunley after three minutes and taking a 3-1 lead into the break.

Two apiece from David Onions and Richard Booth added to Sunley's opener with Paul Combellack hitting the Ayton consolation.

Only one match beat the weather on Saturday, with Grangetown recording a 4-2 win at New Marske, Paul Cochrane hitting all the visitors' goals to top the leading scorers' table.

Grangetown were reduced to ten men after a Stephen Whalley shot was handled on the line by Nigel McIntyre, Justin Shaw giving the home side the lead from the penalty.

Jason Hendry doubled the lead on the stroke of half-time when his 30-yard free-kick slipped through Mark O'Neill's hands in the visitors' goal.

But Grangetown pushed forward after the restart with a Cochrane penalty reducing the arrears on the hour after Gary Skelton was held down.

Substitute Alfie Lee set up the second when his strong run ended with the ball at Cochrane's feet to slide home.

Cochrane hit his third 15 minutes from time when he volleyed home a loose ball before completing the scoring in the last minute to secure the points for the visitors.

The League Cup semi-final tie between Great Ayton and Brotton and the league matches between Huntsman and Staithes and Mackinlay Park and Boosbeck were all postponed due to waterlogged pitches.
