The finest wildlife images from across the globe will form a major exhibition for the millennium at Bellamy Pavilion, home to the Tees Valley Wildlife Trust.

A rookery of African penguins set against a dramatic dawn sky, an acrobatic infant orang-utan swinging upside down in the jungle; mist-clad mountain peaks at Mossy Point in Australia, a killer whale advancing upon a seal amid foaming waves are just some the images in the exhibition, the culmination of the 1999 BG Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition.

All 143 images from gemsbok to ground squirrels and dolphins to damselflies, form the major photograph exhibition, which runs until May 28
