A woman from the region has helped arrange a high-profile national conference on self-employment.
Gill Powell, of Teesside business support organisation InBiz, has been working with a hand-picked team to set up the conference for the Department of Education and Employment. Minister for Employment Tessa Jowell will address the conference, in London, on July 11.
The event will focus on the latest developments in the self- employment fields.
