BUILDING society staff are gearing up for a classical music event.
Darlington Building Society has been a main sponsor of the Proms in the Park event, which will be held at Stewart Park, Middlesbrough, on August 26.
This year's event will be staged in a specially-created auditorium with a lakeside stage. There will also be a new line-up, with appearances from three British tenors, accompanied by Northern Sinfonia.
David Copland, marketing and communications manager at Darlington Building Society, said: "The society is proud to back one of the region's most prestigious outdoor events."
Advance tickets for the Proms in the Park 2000 cost £17 for adults and £12 for children under 16.
A booking fee of £1 per transaction will apply to postal and credit card sales.
