A DURHAM woman fed up about the lack of holidays for older single people is on the look-out for fellow travellers.
Divorcee Pamela Matthews, 61, wants to hear from other singles, aged 55 to 75, interested in going away together.
She said: "I searched the travel agents in Durham and nobody seems to deal in holidays for older people. If there are single holidays they are for young people.
"I spoke to a man at one travel agents and he said he was sick of going on holiday alone because you just feel lonely - you can't go to a dance on your own.
"I'd love to go on holiday, but I don't want to go somewhere there are loads of married couples."
Pamela is hoping like-minded people will come forward for weekend breaks and longer holidays.
"If we have a group then at least you know who you will set off with, instead of arriving at your destination and thinking that you'll never mix with the people there," she said.
Anyone interested can contact her on 0191-372 0966 for more details.
