DURHAM Dynamos are preparing for the time when the nights begin to draw in and they stage what should be the biggest floodlit cricket event of their summer.

On Tuesday, August 29, Dur-ham Dynamos play hosts at the Chester-le-Street Riverside gro-und to Hampshire Hawks for a televised day-night match under floodlights.

The match will be only the second home match that Durham has played under floodlights and the club expects the evening to provide a spectacular night's entertainment for all the family.

This will include the return of the boundary hot tub, which proved to be a big hit with fans at an earlier one-day match.

The hot tub provides the opportunity to watch the match from one of the best and most relaxing seats in the ground! Admission to the hot tub is free with the price of your ticket, so all that fans require is a swimsuit and a sense of adventure!

This particular match should be a classic, as Hampshire parade the talents of ex-England star Robin Smith, and Austra-lian spin king Shane Warne.

"Floodlit cricket is still pretty new to England, but it has already proved its popularity around the world and there's no doubt it's going to be a hit in this country," said Sue Newton, director of marketing at Durham County Cricket Club.

The match will be on Sky Sport and entertainment will be provided throughout the afternoon and evening, starting when the gates open at 2.30pm.

There will be bouncy castles and face painting for the kids, music and various activities to occupy fans until the match begins at 4.10pm.

Tickets can be bought in advance, priced £10 adults (£12 on the day), £5 juniors/U18, senior citizens (£6 on the day) or a family ticket for up to two adults and three juniors for £25 (£36 on the day).

For tickets call the ticket hotline on (0191) 3871717 between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
